What We Believe

“To be an active Christian presence in our community”

Our purpose is to celebrate God's love for others and ourselves.
We will do this through:

Our mission statement reflects who we are and who we want to be.  We are active in the community. We want to sustain and grow that Christian presence through listening and responding.  We want to thrive and be valued in the community.  Therefore, our vision is for growth in the following areas:

• people participating in our church’s worship;
• pastoral and spiritual care;
• activities for all ages, with emphasis on the Sunday school and for the youth;
• communication and collaboration with the community, its groups and leaders;
• identifying and responding to the needs and issues of the community;
• people and groups utilizing our church facilities;
• financial support.

We are not alone, we live in God's world.

We believe in God: who has created and is creating,
who has come in Jesus, the Word made flesh,
to reconcile and make new, who works in us and others by the Spirit.

We trust in God.

We are called to be the Church: to celebrate God's presence.
to live with respect in Creation, to love and serve others,
to seek justice and resist evil, to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen,
our judge and our hope.

In life, in death, in life beyond death, God is with us.
We are not alone.
